The goal of Worldbending is to showcase and prompt artists to research more elusive cultures outside of the western genre. Underrepresented and unrepresented peoples are encouraged.

Eurocentric (Mostly just Anglocentric) concepts are depicted in the media arts and in literature time and time again. The point of Worldbending is to diverge from that “norm”, and to explore the world of bending from a different perspective.

As you can see, we have a tag for European cultures in place. We encourage submissions from non-Anglo concepts that may have fallen through the cracks. We want followers of Worldbending to research cultures beyond the “White European” forefront. Remember that A:TLA is a fantasy Asian concept - in spirit of keeping the world for POC’s, we will not publish submissions that primarily feature Anglo-centric art. That’s not what this is about.
